1003 Cedarwood Place, Cobble Hill - Vacant Land for Sale

Description

Picture a quiet walk under a high green canopy at the very end of a no-through-road cul-de-sac, with nothing but birdsong and the smell of damp earth around you. This 0.70 acre rural lot in Cobble Hill is private and heavily treed, and it's the kind of setting that's hard to create from scratch. The land is full of character. Towering cedars stretch high overhead, mossy maples drop a blanket of leaves every fall, and ferns cover the forest floor. A gravel driveway winds in from the street, so the property feels tucked away the moment you turn in. From above, the aerial photos show the lot wrapped in evergreens, with rolling hills and water in the distance. It's a little pocket of an established neighbourhood, where the pavement ends and the woods take over. Power, a drilled well and a septic system are already in place, so you're not starting from scratch as you plan what comes next. Whether you're dreaming up ideas for the land, a country retreat or simply a peaceful green escape, this is a place to bring your questions for your own experts and take your time getting to know it. There's a garage on site, along with a few older cabins and sheds. The existing mobile home is not habitable, so plan on it being part of the clean-up as you make the land your own. Out the door, the trails of Cobble Hill Mountain are close by for hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding. Weekends can mean the farm stands, a tour of South Cowichan's wineries and cideries, or a round of golf, then home to the stillness. When you want a change of scenery, Shawnigan Lake, Mill Bay and Cowichan Bay are a short drive away for swimming, paddling, waterfront meals and village shopping. You get country living without giving up the everyday conveniences. *One photo is a conceptual rendering of a possible future home. No home exists on the lot today.* (id:66096)
